Jared's sick.

Jared was sick Saturday and was very miserable. He was breaking down at pretty much anything and couldn't find anything to be happy about. Amazingly, he fell asleep on the couch with me in the morning and I managed to carry him to his room without waking him, but he woke up as I put him down and broke down again. Apparently it's ok to sleep on the couch, but not the crib. He managed to recover a bit, but was very fragile over the weekend.

Last week, we were in the store and I picked up a basket to put a few things in. Jared, of course, insists that he wants to carry the basket. After a little while, it gets a little heavy for him and he put the basket down so I asked him if I could carry it now. "No," he replied. He starts pushing the basket on the floor around the store as people stare at me for making this little toddler push my basket around. On the way out of the store, I had to carry him and the bag trying to cross the street to get to the car. One of the cars stopped to let me pass and as I was crossing, I told Jared to wave at the car. He did the cutest wave and the woman beamed a smile back.

Jared also considers things noisy. When Grandpa was using a hammer, he said "Papa noisy" to which Grandpa responded, "You should talk, kid."
