Whining Animals

It was a nice spring day in March and we were outside washing the cars when a UPS truck drove past. Jared watched it and proclaimed, "That's a UPS truck. That's a UPS driver."

So I asked him, "What does a UPS driver do?"

"He drives the UPS truck."

"What else does the UPS driver do?"

He thought for a second.

"He gives people boxes."

Alex enjoys going to Chuck-E-Cheese. So he asked about going again.

"Mom, can we go to Chuck-E-Cheese?"

"No Alex, you haven't been behaving. If you behave for a week, then we can go."

"So if I be good, then we can go?"

"Yes, be good for five days and we'll go."

"I thought you said seven days?"

We parents looked at each other.

"Ok, seven days."

Driving down the road, I pointed out a herd of deer to Jared. "Jared, look at the deer."

He looked and exclaimed, "Oooooo! Look! Elephants!"
