Jared's volcabulary, milkshakes

Jared now can count to 14, although it seems to miss 4. He recognizes the numbers 1-10 now, although it sounds more like uh, too, fwee, fo, fie, see, sewen, eight, nine, ta. His volcabulary now includes "scu me" (excuse me), "sorry", "sorry Daddy" and a whole host of new words. He also has picked up many of the letters of the alphabet - ABCDEFJOQS.

The other day, Jared disappeared and there was no noises indicating where he had gone. Alex said that he was in Emily's office sitting down. Of course, I assumed it was at Alex's drawing table. Turns out, it was on Emily's chair. When I went in, I found a half stick of gum on the desk (with paper still on it) and Jared chewing something. I stuck my fingers in his mouth to get the gum out and got some of it out before he swallowed it. He apparently didn't realize that you're supposed to take the paper off before you stick the gum into your mouth.

Jared likes the "drinkable yoghurts" they make. Put a couple in a cup with a straw and he'll drink his yoghurt. He'll call out "drink yo gur, drink yo gur" if he wants some - which is frequently.

I made some banana milkshakes the other day using the blender and gave a glass filled with the milkshake to both kids. Jared called it "ice cream" at first and then spent the next 5-10 minutes sucking it up his straw. Now when the blender is used, he runs into the kitchen saying "mil-shake, mil-shake". Mention "milkshake" and he gets all excited. I do recommend making them once in a while if you want some quiet period because they'll be too busy sucking the shake up the straw to say anything.

Comments:
It's "eat yogurt eat yogurt" not drink. :p
